Hey! Welcome to Sweet River’s candy blog! Can you believe next week is already Thanksgiving? We can’t. The flower shop next door (Main Floral), is sure busy right now–centerpieces, galore! We’ve been busy gearing up for Small Business Saturday though–we are stocked up fresh with so many of our favorite candies for either you (while you’re out and craving a treat), or for you to grab as little gifts for others. Main Street, here in Anoka, will be a busy place next Saturday and we’re excited! Today though, well, with a fresh shipment of Whirly Pop’s–we started wondering how, exactly, they’re made and we thought we’d share this random, tidbit, of curiosity with you.
Ya know, we’re all about DIY, and trying new things–but, rainbow Whirly Pop’s are definitely something that, we believe, is best when made by others. We found a quick video of a couple of guys doing what they do best, and making it look like a piece of cake. (We’d have a giant mess, and probably be stuck to something by the time the candy was done–we’re not even sure we’d get to the rolling it part.)
Anyway, if you’re curious, like us, about how these favorite lollipops are made–check out this video…
If you’re in the same boat as us–and would prefer to simply buy one of these bad boys, stop in! We have a few different sizes, as well as the unicorn-horn shaped ones. (Easiest kids bday gift ever? Attach a big bow and a gift card, to one of these lollipops. It’s bright, friendly, and cute. :) )
