Hello and welcome to the blog! Today we’re just poppin’ in for a quickie today to show you some of the latest, and greatest, new treats we have in store, here, at Sweet River Candy Company! We are always changing out our candy supply around here, and freshening up. We love to bring in new stuff, just as much as we love to bring back the retro, and nostalgic, stuff. If you’re ever looking for something, in particular, let us know! We love to try to track things down if we don’t have them in shop. (Currently, the hot item is gold, chocolate, coins. With Saint Patrick’s Day coming up folks are busy looking for them. We sell them for 10/1.00 so you don’t have to get a ton of them, or break the bank, if you just need a few.)
For now though, here’s a sneak peek at what our latest shipment brought us. Of course our shelves are loaded with other fun stuff too–this is just the newest. :) We’re open from 8-6 the rest of this week, and from 9-5 on Saturday–so, stop in; we’d love to see you. (Sunday we’re closed. Sorry!)
Haribo Sour S’ghetti
Because why not make spaghetti out of sugar, and sour stuff!? We’re gonna guess that tomato sauce isn’t the best pairing with this one.
Jumbo Push Pops
These are nice because they have a cover, and you don’t have to eat it all at once. However, make sure that the if the kids have one, and go to put the cover back on, they don’t leave it all slobbery. (This is gross. And gets slimy quick. This has also been learned by experience. Gross, sloppy, experience.)
Wax Juice Thingies
Because, juice is better in wax straws. (Well, it’s definitely more fun. :) )
Gold Coins
With Saint Patrick’s Day coming up–these coins are perfect for just about any project, or treat, on the menu.
Easter Chocolates
Got an Easter Bunny to help out a bit this Easter? We have a fun collection of 10/1.00 treats around here (both Easter themed, and not). Spending a few buck will fill up a few eggs without having to buy big bags of candy at the other stores.
Boston Fruit Slices
These bring us back to our days of buying treats at Fanny Mae, over at the mall. Oh, the 80’s. Fruit slices, and boys with long, scraggly, hair. (Because man buns, these days, are so much better.)
Yoohoo Candy Bars
These are big, and taste kinda like Yoo-hoo. (And, kinda not like Yoo-hoo.)
Awake Energy Granola Bars
We have these in chocolate form–but, if you don’t want to start the day with a candy bar, start it off with granola. (And, save the chocolate for later.)
Wonder Ball
Chocolate outside, with candy inside. What could be better!?
Cry Baby Gum
These bring me back to elementary school. I used to pretend I could handle these–while, secretly, dreading anytime my friends dared me to eat one. The blue ones were okay–but, other than that, nope. Too sour. Especially those yellow ones.
Juicy Drop Gum
Gum, with gel. Man, they really get creative over at the candy making factories. I wonder how the meeting sounded when this idea came to life…?
Bean Boozled
We have a fresh supply of these in–but this version is new, and really fun. There’s a metal spinner right on the top of the container that you can reuse. Spin to see which color you have to take. With any luck, you’ll get the good flavored one…not the dead fish, puke, or booger ones. (You’d be surprised at how popular these are. Seriously. People are crazy–and awesome. :) )
